A1 food, and top notch service! I would recommend ten times out of ten, the best italian food in SE ct
Amazing dinner with my mom. Great food, wine, and service as always. We had the chicken parmesan and it was the absolute best . Our waitress was Rachael and she was very attentive and friendly. A+++++
Went here for my birthday dinner and it was delicious! We started with drinks and calamari. The drinks were strong! The calamari was amazing, best calamari I've ever had! So soft and tender. Next we moved onto our main courses. I got the crab linguini which was cooked to perfection super soft. My husband got the chicken parm! We ended dinner with tiramisu which was super soft and light and sweet & delicious. I brought my own candles for my birthday and the waiter gladly had them put it on the plate. Great service!!!

You want to eat real Italian? Huge portions and so delicious!!! Mama Mia!!!!! The ONLY restaurant we eat at Mohegan Sun. Unfortunately they are closed for Covid right now. But as soon as they open, we are there!!!!! Can't wait.
Spent 4 days at Mohegan Sun for the American League women's basketball tournament. Had the occasion to eat dinner at Ballo's on Match 9th. The atmosphere was somewhat dark but nice, rather cavernous though, perhaps because of the high ceilings. Our waiter was sick and I wondered if he was taking proper precautions, it really didn't seem like it. Anyway, we each (2 in the party) ordered the duck breast special on red pepper polenta. It sounded so good and we both love duck. It was terrible. First, the presentation. No veggie, just a plop of polenta and sliced undercooked duck. I don't mind rare, but to not sear the amazing fat side of the breast was such a waste of duck and it tasted gamey, not well seasoned. It looked unappealing and tasted the same. I should have went with my first choice, spaghetti and meatballs. Expensive mistake.
great service and excellent food

Amazing culinary. Some of the best Italian dishes ever. 1st class operation.
My server, Steve was as wonderful as the food. He was Extremely knowledgeable, friendly & kind. We will be back, just for him!
Special occasion upscale Italian at the casino. Strong cocktails and great service, if it's a slow night ask for the special truffle Mac and cheese with 1oz of real black truffle shaved in front of you inside of a full wheel of Parmesan. The server mixes it and serves it table side, it's incredible. For $25 per person it's worth it to split, but I'd love to try other dishes on the menu next time.

delicious authentic home made pasta, very good service. worth the visit!
The Ballo Italian Restaurant is right on the main thorough way but it feels nested away from it all. Mainly it's the high ceiling that makes this space feel like a giant step away from it all; it's very effective. We all loved our dish's. These photos show the Shrimp Piccata, Chicken Frances, & Ricotta Ravioli. The marinara sauce was very nice. The desserts were chocolate cake and peanut butter cannolis with m& m's. They were very good, not too sweet and they give you five mini ones.
Everything about this place is great! Sit at the bar for an awesome dinner and great variety of drinks. The wine list is excellent and the bartenders are willing to recommend if you're unfamiliar. Being forced to eat gluten-free isn't always fun for me, but I can always look forward to the gluten-free pasta! My all time favorite is the shrimp scampi! And if you're a cannoli lover, but can't have the shell, they'll serve the filling in a glass! Thank you Ballo for having so many GF choices!!
Truly a great treat to experience! Wait staff are all so attentive and professional! Glad we were able to enjoy this restaurant!
