They have been amazing since the beginning and even through Covid. Always extremely nice and friendly. The coconut latte, taro latte and Vietnamese coffee are all fantastic!

Clean and modern cafe located at the bottom of the Cerasa Apartment building. They offer your traditional coffee and teas but a few specialties with a twist too like the mint cold brew I got. A bit sweet for me since I usually drink black coffee, but delicious nonetheless. They offer some piggy buns, filled with custard, taro, or molten custard which are instagramable and they egg tarts are one of the better tasting ones I had. Their pork bun was a little lacking in the pork department though and wished it had more filling. Overall, it felt airy and clean which is important in these COVID days and hope they stick around so I can come visit again.

The original egg tart filling is sooo creamy and silky. The crust had a nice crisp to it. I liked it so much I ended up getting the matcha one to go, to try it too. That one was really good as well. Tried the 3 pig buns. So cute, but I thought those were just average. Probably the best flavor was the molten custard. They were out of the crispy pork bun, unfortunately. The mint cold brew and Hong Kong lemon tea were very refreshing. The people working there were nice. I'd go back to try their other drinks and for more egg tarts!

Such a quaint and clean cafe, with cute decor! This was my first time here and I came with a friend. We sat inside at one of the tables, and we didn't have to worry about the cafe being overcrowded.I wanted a cold, refreshing drink as it was hot today. The staff member recommended the peach mojito, which I'm glad I ordered! It was not too sweet at all, and had just the right amount of ice and real peach pieces inside. Also doesn't contain any alcoholic content. The pineapple bun had a crisp and tasty topping, and was soft on the inside. Wasn't the best pineapple bun I've had, but it definitely satisfied my craving.

Would highly recommend trying the custard pig buns! They are super cute and are perfect for when you are craving something sweet. Have also tried their egg tarts which are pretty dang good too.

I found this place while randomly checking out the Bellevue neighborhood. I looked at the reviews after and it looks like I need to give it another chance and try the pork buns. I'll probably update my review but here is my first experience which is a three stars:This is located on the first floor of Cerasa. Very clean, beautiful modern cafe. However service wasn't super friendly. I was barely acknowledged and got a weird vibe. You know when you walk in and the folks behind the counter say nothing and just kind of stare? This was it. Also not sure if it was because it was July 3rd, Friday before a holiday, but the case was very empty with only a couple of tarts and pork buns on display. I ordered a vanilla oat milk latte (they don't have hazelnut flavoring) and an original tart. The late tasted bland and the coffee a little like water, the tart was fresh with a generous serving of custard, but not as sweet as I would've liked. If you've been to Portugal, this is like a less sweet variation of pastel de Nata. Like I mentioned, I'll give this place another chance to see if the service is better next time and will check out their pork buns!

FINALLY a place with reasonable pricing around here, the staff is super sweet, the place has a very calming vibe to it and the egg tart is worth a shot. Excellent coffee as well, so glad this place is close to me! Not a fan of the crispy BBQ pork bun but can't have everything in life haha

I have been dying to get Cafe Aloe since I first saw some pictures of those cute piggy buns on Instagram, and I placed an order recently after seeing they've reopened for takeout. I ordered the steamed BBQ pork buns, but my husband got the crispy BBQ pork buns. Both were good, but I would definitely get the crispy ones next time. They have seasoning on the top that was especially tasty. I also got a custard piggy bun and a taro piggy bun. I think I would have liked a little more filling in both, but they were yummy and I would order them again. I would order the coconut Vietnamese coffee again too! I'm definitely seeing a coffee date there in my future!

Love this place! The vibe is so pleasant and chill, great lighting, nice people, etc. There are north facing windows so you can comfortably work on a laptop without glare or sit and read a book without the sun being too bright, but still have a nice view. The bbq pork buns are my favorite snack, so delicious. I just tried their mint cold brew, WOW! It's so good!Highly recommend this place, you won't regret coming here!

Cafe Aloe is a nice cafe in downtown Bellevue, serving Chinese pastries with a full coffee and tea menu. When my bestie was visiting for a few days, we needed to find a place to work remotely, so came here for a quiet place with caffeine and snacks. When we visited on a Monday afternoon, the place was quiet, with just a few customers getting takeout. Located on the retail level of the Cerasa Apartments in downtown Bellevue on 2nd Avenue, it's a little hard to spot. We drove here and attempted to park in the garage of the apartment building, as it indicated there was retail parking. However, the gate would not open. Not sure if they actually do offer retail parking, yet we fortunately, found street parking right outside the shop. But note, that it was only good for two hours. Towards the end of being here for two hours, I asked the employee if cars were actually monitored for overstaying their time limit and she said that parking enforcement does indeed ticket. While my friend ordered a taro latte and taro bun, I tried the Vietnamese iced coffee and the custard bun. Both of our buns were the cute piggy buns that they're known for here. I really liked my Vietnamese coffee; it was very strong and bold, and not so much sweet, which is how I prefer my coffee. However, the custard bun was A-OK. I wished there had been more custard filling, as it was mostly bun. Yet, the texture of the bun was nice. I'd be open to trying other items from the food menu. The space was bright from the natural light that came in through the large windows and there were many outlets by most of the seating. Plus, they have wifi here, which was handy for working remotely. I enjoyed using the space for working, and would do so again. Or to just visit for a Vietnamese iced coffee. I do have to take advantage of their happy hour, which is offered on weekdays after 3PM, where pastries are half-off if a drink is purchased. I can get down with that.
