This is a local treasure! After a long 11 hour drive for work my hubby and I had a delightful dinner. We shared the Goat Cheese & Mushroom Brushetta, Caesar Salad, Greek Salad, and Fish & Chips - all were spectacular! Stop by this precious local gem and show them support during these trying times.

My first review in the age of Covid!!! It has been so long since I've been anywhere since this damn pandemic. I decided to brave the storm, wear a mask, and go out for some dinner outside. I knew I wanted something local, and I knew it had to have outdoor seating. I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. They offered a lot of local ingredients and house made items. We were seated right away and the waitress was kind enough to repeat the specials to me. Is it me or does everyone sound muffled with masks on? You know what I'm talking about. We ordered the half shell oysters which were a special and the charcuterie board for starters. Then seafood bouillabaisse, and the poulet au citron for our main course. I can't complain when my oysters are fresh and my seafood stew has everything I want in it and more. It had fish, clams, calamari, shrimp, and octopus. The broth was savory and spicy. Sooo good! My husband says his chicken was ok, nothing spectacular, but good. Anyways, I appreciate the location of this restaurant and I plan on going back to try some of their other menu items.

After an amazing day in the Willamette Valley this place was an amazing find thanks to a recommendation from Griffin at the White Rose Estates. Despite COVID restrictions there was ample outdoor seating available so we were seated immediately. Let's talk about the food... this is not what I was expecting for a small town like Newberg, Oregon. This is what you look for in a great restaurant in Chicago or New York at small(ish) town prices. The food was incredible. We had the fish and chips; lightly battered halibut (so amazing compared to the more traditional cod) and fried to perfection. Big thick cuts of fish served atop seasoned chips (fries) with a lightly creamy and brightly colored coleslaw. What really hit this dish out of the park was their rich and flavorful house made ketchup, but the house made tarter sauce I just wanted to lick directly out of the dish. Their tarter sauce is made from a scratch aioli and seasoned perfectly with fresh herbs, housemaids pickles, and lemon juice but the kicker were the capers. Absolutely stunning! We also had the coq au vin, braised chicken served over slightly chunky whipped potatoes (perfection) and smothered in that delicious gravy with wild mushrooms and hunks of bacon. It was quintessential Burgundy on a plate. For dessert, we had the chocolate créme brûlée. Rich and decadent with a rock solid ceiling of brûlée'd sugar for that perfect crunch, served with a chocolate chunk and oatmeal cookie. The dessert was amazing but would have preferred they serve it with something with some acidity to balance out the richness of the chocolate, like raspberries and blackberries instead of more richness in the cookie. Still a great finish to a spectacular meal. With drinks and a generous tip our total came to $74 which we thought was quite reasonable for this meal. The service was what we have come to expect from the people of Oregon, very friendly, helpful, and on their game. Not too busy to strike up a friendly conversation while never ignoring their guests. Always available for a refill or even to ask the chef his secrets when I just had to know what was in that tarter sauce!This place is on my list for a return visit if I ever make back to the northwest. A definite stop if you are anywhere near Portland, it is certainly worth the drive.

Food: Awesome. Beet salad was beautiful and I never knew beets came in different colors before this. Fish and chips - fish was moist and crispy. Steak fries - steak was juicy and tender at medium rare. Atmosphere and service: Indoor and outdoor seating available, and spaced widely apart for Covid. Waitresses were very nice and recommended some local vineyards.

This place is delicious! Our waitress was amazing and food was brought out fast! The menu is big but not too big, and all the choices are delicious and well crafted. I got the ham and brie sandwich, but also at the table were the veggie wrap, the chicken pesto sandwich, and the greek salad all of which were very delicious. All staff were complaint with phase one standards and staff wore masks and practiced social distancing. We would definitely come back again!

I got the fish and chips and the roasted beats appetizer. The fish and chips were good but the beets were probably my favorite thing I ate. They were so good. The cheese and hazelnuts that come with it really tie everything together. I will say I ordered some another time for pick up and there were no hazelnuts so I was slightly disappointed but still devoured every bit.Service was prompt and our server was maybe the best I've ever had. I wish I remembered his name. Their iced tea is also one of the best I've tasted from a restaurant.

First time eating here, we ordered carry out. Last time.Fish and chips had great fries .... the fish was crispy but tasted like the fish had been washed in sanitizer ... something was off. The 'cole slaw' was grated purple cabbage with a tangy bitter dressing,uneatable for me.Greek salad was mostly iceberg lettuce, the olives were standard black pearl olives, the dressing wasn't Greek, no oil.Beyond not what I really expected for food, the prices didn't reflect the small portions.I'm guessing the wine selection must be good. They surely seem busy. I was hoping for more, they're close by.
