the BEST churros I've ever tasted. Churros by the roll for under $10 or single churros for a buck. Then there's the choice for toppings being regular or Mexican style with different sauces. So good! the only thing is they are cash only, but it's so good I don't even care. I make sure I stop by when I head over to Woodland.
Every time I come to Woodland I have to get a churro roll to take back to Fresno! Always and only the best!
Today is August 9, 2018. I just called and was told they haven't been working for 3 months. It's closed. Please let us know when it reopens. I need churros and tejuino. Gracias!
Let me tell you a little story. It starts and ends with a terrible mistake that I made. That mistake was waiting to come here. I first heard about this churro truck about a year ago and I desperately wanted to come but kept putting it off for one reason or another. Let me tell you, MAKE BETTER LIFE CHOICES THAN ME. Don't wait. Go get the churros. We ordered the samples which is 5 churros, one with each topping (Chocolate, carmel, Bavarian cream, sweetened condensed milk, and strawberry). I don't even know that I had a favorite because they were all so good. I would definitely go for the sampler again if I go back (HAH. Who am I kidding? I'm going back) so that I can have them all again. I shared it with my roommate and it was the perfect amount to split between two people who wanted a hearty dessert. Did I mention the 5 churro sampler was only $5?! It's a steal that's $1 a churro! They also have the huge churro roll for only $9. The only thing I will warn you of is that they only accept cash. It does take a hot (hah. pun intended) minute for them to prepare them because they're deep frying them right then. Which means you get a warm, crispy, treat handed right out to you. And even still, it really isn't that long of a wait at all.
If you thought you liked churros, you haven't had a real churro until you come here. It's a game changer! This place is a little truck off to the side of the road so it can be tough to locate. We ordered a churro sampler, which included 5 churros (chocolate, caramel, bavarian cream, condensed milk, strawberry jelly). The churros are essentially 99% fried so it becomes the CRISPIEST churro I've ever tried. Most of the sweetness comes from the sauce topping, so it's also not buried in cinnamon sugar. I'd rank the sampler sauces as: caramel, chocolate, condensed milk, bavarian cream, and then jelly. I think the caramel and chocolate worked best to compliment the churro. And to top it off, it's $1 per foot of churro, great value. Enough details.. if you like churros stop by here and be blown away. Just make sure you call and confirm they're open. Food: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Overall: 5/5
Best. Churros. Ever. In the world. We've loved this food truck since we first heard of it a few years ago. They serve up churros and really that's about it besides a few hot beverages. The churros that you get here are extremely crispy, like you would think a real churro should be. And is it expensive? NO. Churros are about $1 each and you can get a variety of them with different flavors and toppings. I totally suggest going for a variety as you can choose chocolate, condensed milk, Bavarian cream, and fruit. But if you like things simple, the plain churro is totally great. In fact, probably the coolest thing to get is the HUGE churro rope/coil. The churro is rolled up like something Indian Jones would use. It's plenty of churro to snap off and share with a large group of people. The churros are made on the spot and come out pipping hot and fresh. There really is no better churro. If you are anywhere near this churro truck it is worth a visit. If you like flavored Mexican hot chocolate style drinks, they also serve this here. It doesn't get too cold in Woodland that often, but on a colder day these are great. This truck is known for churros, but their Mexican drinks are pretty awesome too. There really isn't anything else to say except go here if you've never been before!
