This place has the best tamales in Ventura County! My personal favorite are the chicken. I'm originally from OC and my husband introduced me to these. You must try them.

Amazing food, the tamales and the carnitas are my favorite thing to get from here. Best burritos in town and tamales.

This review is for sweet bread and tamales. I have not tried their other food. Found this place looking for tamales during the week. Most places only have them on the weekend or don't make chicken ones for some weird reason. Tamales were delicious. It has a good ratio between meat and masa. Masa was moist and had good flavor to it. Sweet bread was amazing! Their strawberry straddle was flaky and sweet. Concha was moist and had sweetness throughout and not just on the top. We had a variety and they were all equally delicious. Their storefront was really good. They had imported Mexican chips that aren't made in the US. Mexican candy and the regular stuff you can buy out here. They sold cold drinks to include beer! Perfect for that Sunday brunch and Micheladas for the hangover.

I've grown up going to this place. I've eaten pretty much everything on the menu, and everything is delicious. My go-to is the tamales and the Chile Verde plate. Comfort food for me.
