Was visiting from Vancouver and came here for dinner. Their food was so amazing and so fresh. The menu was very large with many options to choose from. It was also vegetarian friendly and gluten free friendly. We had the steak, halibut, curry bowl, brussell sprouts and calamari which were alll fantastic. The service was amazing too! Worth visiting!

Their happy hour - half price on six items. Tried all six. I only like the STEAM POT which is very good.

This was my second time visiting this place. The first time I visited was before the whole pandemic happened and it was such a great memory so I had to visit again this time. This time though it was not as great as I expected. Looked like the restaurant was understaff due to the pandemic so the servers didn’t have enough time to cover all tables they were assigned. We had to place orders two different times to get it right- their oysters were also decent but it had a lot of particles (little pieces of shells) on the actual oysters so I had to spit them out constantly. The drinks were good and the services were still decent to rate at 4 stars. I hope to visit again when the pandemic is over.

Then I had the wasabi crusted tuna... delicious! Fella had the 10oz sirloin which he said was seasoned perfectly and I'd agree it was a great steak even though he had it done medium well! Since it was a special occasion we also had dessert (I honestly wanted more oysters)...whipped cheesecake and I had the chocolate pate with salted caramel. Amazing

I stopped here thinking based on the review the food would be good. However the issues were quite a few. Our server never mentioned any specials, which seemed to have been a lobster tail and steak. I settled on the steamer pot and found several rotten mussels. When I pointed it out to the waiter, he mentioned that he would tell the chef. In our seafood pasta plate we also found some spoiled seafood. I understand that now is a difficult time with COVID but I’m not sure that a seafood place should struggle this much with quality. Finally, the tuna steak was terribly dry. Poor service and poor food.

Decided to try West Coast Grill again after a few years, our previous visit left us feeling like we paid to much for what we got. This visit left us missing the mark as well.First off our server stated she was new, so I feel that she was really trying her best. She unfortunately didn’t know a lot about the menu (had to return to the kitchen 3 times for questions). Second, we ordered calamari for an appetizer; it wasn’t bad but it was not worth $16, especially for the portion.Third, I ordered the dinner special $59 for 10oz steak and 4oz lobster tail. Steak was way over cooked, lobster was cooked well. But the “assorted” vegetables on the side were slim. The flavours were decent, but the portions were off.Our friend ordered the Brussel sprout dish, she didn’t even touch it because it was so over cooked it was sent back. Also to add they had ran out of oysters, I’m not the biggest fan, but my friends are, and that’s why this place was chosen for dinner. Seeing to how Covid has put a strain on ordering things, I can see running out after a busy weekend, but maybe take them off the specials board and inform your table right away. I really wanted to like West Coast Grill, the vibe in there is good, but I don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon.

Mediocre food , terrible service .We went out for dinner while in town for the weekend , and my husband picked the West Coast Grill. He called and made a reservation , we should have know after standing at the hostess desk for 10 minutes Unacknowledged that this was going to be a bad choice . We sat on the patio with 2 other groups , the restaurant is fairly small and with covid has minimal tables 10-12 table max . There are directional arrows on the ground , these appear to simply be there for decoration as no one including staff was following them . Although it is called WestCoast Grill & Oyster Bar there are NO oysters listed anywhere on any of the menus . We ordered drinks and they came promptly and that was the best service we received all night . I asked about oysters and was told what they had for the evening . I ordered a dozen the where fresh and tasty but full of shell particles . After that we didn't have anyone come to our table for quite awhile to take our dinner order . We finally waved someone down and placed our order , again an exceptionally long time before we saw any staff check in with us . We finally placed our dinner order and again waited , and waited and waited . Seriously nothing bothers my husband and even he said he felt neglected and left on our own . It was almost an hour into sitting there before our server cam over and said " even though we don't look busy , the kitchen does both the restaurant and the lounge , and the lounge is packed tonight" No offer of a drink or appy or anything for the hour long delay . Great guess I should have ate in the lounge then. I ordered the Mountain burger no bun and salad . The burger I received was nothing like described and I got fries , not salad . I don't eat fries ‍. Again left alone with no check in I ate what I could , my husband ate the fries and now I'm back in my room starving lol . I was asked if I wanted another drink as I was getting ready to leave almost 1.5 into our stay . I took pictures of the burger I ordered and the burger I got because it was so opposite of what I had ordered .

My Girlfriend and I attended West Coast Grill for her birthday and from the moment we arrived we were treated amazing. Lina was our server. She was courteous, funny attentive and made us feel special. The Martinis were very tasty and the food...THE FOOD! SO SO GOOD! I had the Halibut and it was perfect! I highly suggest you go visit them for your next special occasion...or just for Happy hour...I cant wait to try their happy hour myself.
