My wife and I flew in from Calgary to celebrate our anniversary and chose this as our special dinner. As a server myself in a fine dining restaurant, we were quite disappointed with our experience. Menu half the size, out of two things on the menu when the menu only had 8 things to begin with, server ignored us, didnt ask how food was or if we wanted anything else to drink, didnt ask if we wanted desert and the other servers had to help do everything since he didnt pay any attention to us. He only had 3 tables so it wasnt like he was so busy that he couldnt take care of our table of 2. We sat there with the card on the table for over 15 mins until I asked someone else. Wont be returning!

We had a craving for Italian and decided to try La Bussola again after not eating there for many years. The prices are very high for what you get - for example, $16 for a green salad. Main courses don't come with any sides such as a roll or a piece of bread. If you order gnocchi, you get a plate of gnocchi and that's it. A plate of gnocchi is not a feast for the eyes even if it is for the palate. I'd like to say that we were blown away by our meal but we weren't - it was just okay.On a more positive note, the atmosphere at La Bussola is very nice and the service attentive.

Sadly missed the mark. My wife and I were really excited to go to our first restaurant since March while on vacation. La Bussola did a great job with the COVID policies and appropriate spacing however the service was lacking and the food was marginal and overpriced. They were sold out of our first dessert choice and the creme caramel was liquidy. My wife wasn't even offered a to go box for her more than 1/2 pasta left on her plate. Seemed like other tables were getting better service but unfortunately we were ignored and dismissed throughout all 3 courses of our meal. We won't be returning.

Great ambiance, great service and the food was amazing! We had a clam linguine, very tasty, and a seafood ravioli, best ravioli texture I've had, not mushy pasta like most places!

My wife and I had eaten here in 2005 and remembered the experience fondly so we decided to celebrate her birthday here on a trip from Vancouver. Due to COVID19, half the tables were removed which may have affected the ambiance. The service was good. The sommelier Michael made a very good recommendation for a Pinot Noir from the Okanagan which proved to be the highlight of the meal. The food was good but not noteworthy. The interior decor is pretty plain. Overpriced for the value received. We won't be back.
